.NET Domains
When the .NET universal top-level domain extension was first introduced in 1985, together with the first domain name extensions on the World Wide Web, it was meant to be used by Internet Service Providers or infrastructure firms. Because of the fact that there were no particular regulations about the usage of the top-level domain, though, dot NET domains were booked and used for diverse purposes and by lots of people. This extension is a wonderful substitute of .COM, especially if the desirable domain with the latter TLD is not available for registration.
Registering a dot NET domain name with our firm is as easy as 1-2-3 and takes just a couple of minutes, given the fact that we are partners with an ICANN-certified registrar. You can grab such a domain for a period between 1 and 10 years, or, if you already own a domain, you can move it over to our firm and we will renew it when the transfer process is done. Transfers are possible for all domains, which are at least sixty days old, provided that they are unlocked and that you have an EPP transfer key – security measures set up by the Registry organization to prevent unauthorized transfers. You can easily modify the WHOIS contacts of the domain through your Control Panel interface, or, if you wouldn't like this information to be accessible at all, you can purchase a Whois Privacy Protection service, so no one will be able to get your actual contact info.
The dot NET domain extension supports internationalized names, so you can take a decision whether you want to aim at a specific country or territory using a domain name in the local language, or the global web community – using a generic English name.
